Portrait of author Anna Kniveton

From the moment Anna Kniveton opened her first Harry Potter novel in middle school, she discovered that books were far more than stories — they were a refuge. What began as curiosity quickly grew into a lifelong passion, and she never looked back. Through every chapter she read, books became a place of comfort, imagination, and possibility.

Although Anna always dreamed of writing a novel, she never imagined she would become an author. Reading, writing, and even speaking English didn't come easily to her, and English was one of her most challenging subjects in school. Yet the very thing that challenged her most eventually became her greatest passion.

During some of the most difficult seasons of her life, books offered more than an escape. They helped her develop both her written and spoken English, introduced her to new perspectives, and taught her to see the world through countless different eyes. Every story she encountered left a lasting impression, shaping not only the writer she would become but also the person she is today.

Those experiences have greatly influenced Anna's own storytelling. She is drawn to emotionally complex characters, meaningful relationships, and the difficult choices that define who we are. She believes that some of the most memorable stories are the ones that make us feel deeply and leave us seeing the world just a little differently than before.

When she isn't writing, Anna enjoys reading, drawing, and swimming. She hopes that through her novels, readers will find the same sense of wonder, comfort, and adventure that books once gave her.

I know how heavy life can sometimes feel, and for me, books became a light in the darkness. My greatest hope is that my own stories can become that same light for someone else.
Why She Writes

A light in the darkness, for anyone who needs one.

What inspired me to become an author were the books that shaped my life. Within their pages, I found understanding, comfort, and perspectives that helped me navigate some of life's most difficult moments. There were stories and characters I connected with on a deeply personal level, reminding me that I wasn't alone.

I don't write for a particular audience. I write for anyone who loves a good story. No matter your age or where you are in life, I believe the right book has a way of finding you. I just hope that one day, mine is the one you choose.
